Enjoy a sunset picnic followed by a captivating space journey led by an Astrophysicist on World Heritage listed Lord Howe Island.
Their Sunset Dinner Grazing and Stargazing includes:
A styled group picnic set up, including low picnic tables, cushions, rugs, beautiful crockery, cutlery, napkins and glassware.
A deluxe antipasto grazing platter including fine cheeses, homemade dips, speciality crackers, fresh seasonal fruit and other yummy treats. As a guide, the contents of our Regular Grazing Platter would be served for two guests. There is more than enough food for dinner!
Astrophysicist Dimitri Douchin, PhD and his partner Caroline from Blue Mountains Stargazing to lead your 90 minute voyage through space.
Their journey will include:
Naked-eye Astronomy, tips and hacks on how to identify stars and constellation storytelling, introduction to the celestial dance of planets, satellites, navigation, the Universe, our home Galaxy and beyond...
You will then observe through the professional-grade telescope objects such as:
The Moon and its craters and seas
Saturn’s rings
The moons of Jupiter
Mars and Venus
The Orion Nebula
Star clusters Double and triple stars
Deep space objects such as galaxies and our fabulous Milky Way
Shooting stars if you are lucky!
