It was built in 1986, in a style reminiscent of a European mountain ski chalet. Each room offers sink, microwave and bar fridge, although it is a minute's walk to Chisolm's Restaurant and the Caves Cafe. The Mountain Lodge guestrooms are motel-style, with televisions, phones and adjoining rooms, making it extremely practical for families.
