Selwyn Snow Resort is in the most northern part of the Snowy Mountains of New South Wales, Australia. With 11 chair lifts, pomas, T-bars, a platter and a rope tow, the resort is well suited to families and first timers, with most of the terrain catering to beginners and intermediates.

Enjoy beautiful natural attractions around Selwyn Snow Resort in the Kosciuszko National Park, from majestic snow gums to amazing rock formation in the Yarrangobilly Caves. You’ll find a fun range of outdoor adventures including bushwalking and mountain biking.
A delightful trail for walking and mountain biking is Four Mile Hut from Selwyn Snow Resort. The 10km return journey winds through snow gum forests to grasslands blanketed with pretty wildflowers in summer, such as golden-stemmed billy buttons and orange everlasting daisies.
On the nearby Goldseekers track meander in snow gums and summer wildflowers, and keep an eye out for endangered pygmy possums in the hollows of old snow gums. The 3km track is also used for cross country skiing in winter.

The Yarrangobilly Caves are only 35 minutes’ drive north from Selwyn Snow Resort. These six caves contain stalagmites, stalactites, and cave corals, created around 440 million years ago. Tickets for guided tours can be purchased from Yarrangobilly Caves Visitor Centre.
The Thermal Pool walk near the limestone caves leads to spring waters naturally heated at 27 degrees, perfect for a steamy dip surrounded by snow in the colder months and relaxing swim in the summer.
The warmer months are a lovely time for horse riding treks in the high country and fishing in pristine waters in mountain streams and the popular fishing spot of Lake Eucumbene. For spectacular alpine scenery, visit the clifftop Wallace Creek lookout for the extraordinary beauty of the Great Dividing Range.

Selwyn Snow Resort is a 5-hour drive from Sydney and 2.5-hour drive from Canberra. It is advised that all 2WD vehicles always carry properly fitting chains on the Snowy Mountains Highway from June to September. These can be hired at most service stations on your way and make sure you read these snow-driving safety tips.
You can also fly from Sydney via Rex Airlines to the Snowy Mountains Airport which is 10km south of Cooma. The surrounding areas of Tumbarumba, Tumut and Cooma are great places for day trips, with accommodation options to suit various budgets.
Selwyn Snow Resort is popular with beginner skiers and snowboarders, offering gentle varied slopes and a snow park for tubing and tobogganing. The family-run resort also has a snowmaking system and 45 hectares of skiable terrain.
The 2023 reopening of the resort will include the new and expanded Selwyn Centre, housing guest facilities and services. The New Chum Chairlift will also have completed a full upgrade and 100% of the resort’s skiable terrain will reopen. Best of all, the relocated and expanded Toboggan Park will also open once again, offering the best tobogganing experience in NSW.
There’s something for everyone at Selwyn Snow Resort. You’ll find runs for beginners, intermediate and advanced skiers, and snowboarders, with gently progressing terrain that’s ideal for first timers. The team of qualified instructors will have you gliding down the slopes on skis or a snowboard in no time.
