Wineries, distilleries & restaurants
Surrounded by a tapestry of citrus groves and vineyards, Mildura is renowned for its food and wine. Drop by the cellar doors of wineries such as Trentham Estate, Duxton Vineyards, Oak Valley Estate and Varapodio Estate, and become an expert on local varietals like chardonnay and shiraz. Visit Sunraysia Cellar Door to sample more local wines. If you prefer spirits, drop into Fossey's to try some boutique whisky and gin.
The Sunraysia Farmers Markets is also home to fresh fruit, vegetables, preserves and condiments. Head to Langtree Avenue for charming wine bars and lively pubs. You also find acclaimed restaurants such as Stefano’s Italian, Asian delights at Andy’s Kitchen and international fusion at Brass Monkey.
Tours & day trips
Departing from Mildura, Mungo Guided Tours will take you on a day trip to the spectacular ancient landscapes of Mungo National Park. Other tours closer to Mildura include riding a tractor train through orchards at Orange World and a self-guided walking tour that captures the town’s historic buildings.

Sitting at the far west of The Murray region, Mildura is around 11 hours’ drive from Sydney, just under six hours from both Melbourne and Albury, and 4hr 20min from Adelaide. You can also fly into Mildura Airport and hire a car to explore the region.
Fly into Mildura Airport
Mildura Airport is less than 10km from Mildura. Use the taxi services at the airport to make the short trip northeast to Mildura’s town centre. Alternatively, rent a car from the hire services available at the airport and explore the region at your own pace.
