Out on the water

Jetbuzz rents boats ranging from small tinnies to 12-person party cruisers, and you’ll only need a car license to be captain. The calm, flat waters are also perfect for kayak and stand-up paddleboard adventures. Set out on your own or join a guided tour to explore mangroves, sand islands and winding creeks.

Go beneath the surface to see where the lake meets the sea with a scuba dive close to the famous Swansea Bridge, considered one of the best shore dives in the state. Along the coast, dive beside the famous Coal Loader at Catherine Hill Bay or head out to Moon Island in search of grey nurse sharks.

On dry land

Hike through cool rainforest to reach the dramatic Gap Creek Falls, where up to 40m of water cascades down after rains. Sleep among the bush at the nearby campsite.
