Food in Orange

Restaurants & cafes
The highly-rated Charred makes use of a purpose built charcoal oven to give dishes a distinctive flair. In Millthorpe, Tonic focuses on seasonal, local produce for its elegant menu. The one-hat Lolli Redini has been the place for a special occasion meal for almost 20 years, serving contemporary Italian and French cuisine.
Fiorinis is a traditional Italian trattoria on the outskirts of town. Head to Sweet Sour Salt for modern Asian, Raku Izakaya for Japanese or Mr Lim for dumplings and Korean fried chicken with a side of karaoke. The Greenhouse of Orange is a sprawling rooftop space with multiple dining options, pop ups and live music.

In Molong, browse Lime and Stone’s specialist homewares with your brew or visit Sweetness for international lollies and delicious gelato. In Millthorpe, stop at Millthorpe Providore, and in Canowindra grab a cup at Finns Store or the Trading Post.
Country food trails
Explore the tastes of the region on an intimate food tour. Country Food Trails will take you on fun and unique ale, village and farm trails through the historic turns of Orange. Many of the region’s top wineries also have award-winning restaurants on site. At Sister's Rock Restaurant on Borrodell Vineyard, the menu features cherries and truffles grown on-site.
Thriving markets
Orange has a strong agricultural heritage, with rich soil that yields exceptional fruit and vegetables. The Orange Farmers Market is held on the second Saturday of the month and the Blayney Market on the third Sunday of every month. The Millthorpe Markets are held twice a year, in April and December.
Gourmet pantries
Sample some of the region’s best at The Agrestic Grocer, and enjoy the on-site brewery and fantastic restaurant. Sample some of their craft beer or local wine as you enjoy some live music. You’ll also find the Second Mouse Cheese Company making delicious double cream brie, camembert, halloumi and feta.
