The Byron Bay Surf Festival brings the spirit, culture and the joys of surfing to the shores of Byron Bay every year since 2010.
Held in September rather than the usual February timeframe due to covid, the Festival celebrates its 12th anniversary in 2022.
Considered one of Australia's most inclusive surfing events with a program of surfing competition and surf culture that includes art exhibitions, environmental awareness, sustainability and the growth of women and children in the sport as well as live gigs throughout the Byron Shire.
The Byron Bay Surf Festival is aptly tag-lined "Surf Culture Now" which encapsulates what its all about and what it means to the local and interstate surf communities.
