A great way to experience Boorowa is to follow the Shamrock Trails. These three heritage walks explore colonial and 20th century historical buildings around the town, including the stained glass spectacle of St Patrick's Catholic Church and riverside heritage. The Boorowa Historical Museum is in a lovingly restored rammed-earth building and open on Saturdays or by appointment.

Irish Woolfest

Held on the October long weekend each year, the Irish Woolfest celebrates the region’s history and its world-class wool. It includes the Running of the Sheep through the main street, as well as a street parade, Irish singers and dancers, pipe bands, produce markets and plenty of fun things to do for the kids.
