Located 52 kilometres northwest of Cooma, Adaminaby is a popular trout fishing spot, which makes it an ideal location for the 10 metre tall Big Trout. This huge fibreglass structure was built by Adaminaby artist Andy Lomnici, completed in 1973 and is an icon for the beautiful mountain town of Adaminaby.
The iconic sculpture has been completely refurbished by The Friends of the Fish Committee and after this full restoration, she now proudly takes her place alongside the other "Big Things" scattered throughout Australia.
